Is when art started. People used to paint in caves with hands and fingers. They used pigments from plants and stones and land.

I really like Egypt!
Their art was based on paintings and carvings. Do you know why in paintings, people was painted in that strange position? Because they believed that when someone died, if in a painting in his/her tomb, all her/his body was painted, in afterlife the soul would have all the body parts. It's impossible to stand in that position.

They dedicated all of their art to gods. They carved a lot of sculptures and they made a lot of tools, vases and objects, but they didn't do a lot of paintings.
In Archaic period (600-480 BC.), sculptors made statues of men and women without emotions neither movement.
In Classical period (5th century BC), sculptors decided to make sculptures with a bit of movement.
In Hellenistic period (4th century BC), sculptors decided to change something. Normal sculptures became boring and so, they decided to exaggerate (Like this sculpture: Nike)
